Barbasol Shaving Cream was shown in the Jurassic Park film more than 22 years ago – the iconic can was used as a vessel for smuggling dinosaur embryos. To celebrate the new film, Barbasol’s parent company, Perio, Inc. worked with Crown Aerosols North America to create two limited edition packages for the iconic shaving cream. The cans are decorated with colorful labels that feature images of dinosaurs from the new Jurassic World film.

“Not only are we thrilled about our partnership with Universal Pictures to celebrate the new Jurassic World film,” said Sarah Paulson, Brand Manager with Perio, Inc., “but we are also excited to work with Crown to capture these unique designs on our cans.”

Crown’s Midwest Graphics Lithography Center worked closely with Perio, Inc. to ensure that each of the cans, which feature Velociraptors and Pteranodons illustrations integrated with the recognizable Barbasol shaving cream striped packaging, were printed according to the designs created by artist Mark Englert. Englert is the same artist whom Universal Pictures enlisted to create Jurassic World movie posters for last year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Barbasol is also running a contest for fans of the film, in a clever tie-in promotion – the Grand Prize winner receives a ‘Dinosuar Dig’ experience in Wyoming.

The new, limited-edition Jurassic World Barbasol cans be found now at select retailers everywhere, while supplies last. The Jurassic World film opened in theaters nationwide on June 12, 2015.
